| On June 14, 2008 at 2140 hours the Volunteers from Valley lee, Bay District and Leonardtown were alerted to St. Georges Catholic Church for the Building Fire. Engine 33 (Capt. Pennington) and Truck 3(FF. Bruner) responded with a total staffing of 12 volunteers within seconds of dispatch. Units from Company 6 arrived on the scene at 2146 hours and Chief 6 (Crowder) advised of fire through the roof from the back part of the church. Engine 91 (Lt. Warren) and Water Supply 5 were added to the call as part of the Working Fire Dispatch Engine 61, Engine 62, and Engine 63 all arrived and started investigating further and noticed that a propane line along the roofline had been struck by lightning. The crew from Engine 61 pulled a 1.75" line and extinguished the hot spots after the gas was secured. Engine 33 and the Truck arrived and assisted Company 6 with further investigation and helped them wrap everything up. Chief 6 (Crowder) held the command of the incident. All units from Bay District were clear the scene at 2216 hours.
