| On February 8, 2008 at 2029 hours Stations 9 and 3 were alerted to 9470 HG. Truman Rd for the building fire at Dj's Mini Mart. Engine 91(FF. Adams) responded shortly after dispatch and arrived just after Calvert Station 3's units at 2037 hours. While units were en-route to the call, Calvert Chief 3A arrived on the scene establishing the command and advised that he had heavy fire on side "C" and fire through the roof. Calvert County then alerted the Working Fire Dispatch bringing Engine 32 and Engine 73 to the scene. While Engine 32 (Capt. Pennington) and Engine 73 (Chief Albert) were en-route to the scene, communications sounded evacuation tones due to the integrity of the roof and all personal exited the building without injury. After a short time of a Defensive attack and regrouping, the crews went back in and finished checking for extension and performed overhaul operations. All St. Mary's County units operated on scene for a little over two hours before being released by command.
While these crews were operating on the building fire, all three stations held additional crews to respond to whatever came their way and Engine 12 handled a fill in at Calvert Station 3.
