On September 5, 2007 at 1355 hours the Volunteers from Station 9, Station 7, Station 3, Station 1, and Station 6 were alerted to the end of Sollars Wharf Road in Solomon's for the reported Large Field Fire. Engine 92, Engine 74, Engine 33, Brush 9, Brush 7, Brush 1, Brush 6 all responded to the scene. Engine 92 arrived and was instructed to lay a supply line and to set up a draft site. Engine 92 laid about 600' of 4 inch supply line and then set up a draft at the pier. Engine 74 arrived next along with both brush units and were advised to go past the tanker and start working the field and protect exposures. Engine 33 arrived and staged while the crew was sent to the field and relieved Brush 9's crew. All units worked very well together and the fire was placed under control by command shortly after all units arrived. Brush 6 and Brush 1 were returned just before they arrived on the scene. All units remained on the scene for about 2 hours mopping up hot spots and restoring equipment.
