2000 Spartan/American LaFrance
93 Foot Aerial Platform


 


Tower 9 is a 2000 American LaFrance LTI 93 foot ladder tower on a Spartan chassis.  Features include a pre-piped waterway to the platform for two master stream devices as well as an elevated standpipe, 1000 lb. capacity dry/500 lb. capacity wet platform at 0º, tool mounts, Stokes basket bracket, 110/220VAC outlets and storage bins on the platform, two storage bins mounted on the side of the base ladder section, 25,000 kw hydraulic generator, out and down outriggers mid and rear chassis with down stabilizers at the front bumper, outrigger controls at both sides of the apparatus as well as the rear, five SCBA seats with a total seating of eight, access to the platform from both the turntable and rear access steps, ground ladder storage in the rear with dual opening doors, generous compartment space.

The body is made of aluminum.  The chassis is powered by a well maintained Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine coupled with an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission.
