CONGRATS Steve on your retirement. I know that you will be missed there in the Bay District. Thanks for all of your training and mentoring in the few years I was a member there.
Great site guys. Just stopping by to say hi! I am a firefighter myself for 16 yrs. I also own a graphics business. I do vinyl decals, can koozies, etc. I have tons of firefighter graphics that i ship all over the country.
Keep up the good work guys.

I just wanted to thank you for all you guys do I got to see you all in action last night at the fire call off of Sue Drive and really appreciate all ya'll for riskin your lifes to save others. Keep it up
The above call was at my daughter's apt. She call us here in NY in an aboslute panic, but we were able to understand her enough to know she had enough sense to call the FD.
All we can say is THANK YOU! Being 6 hours away, and she in her first apartment, there was nothing we could do. She said she never saw anything as wonderful as the firemen who responded to this call.
We are a 4th generation Vol. FD family. My husbad is approaching 39 years in Lawrence Cedarhurst FD, his father and grandfather were 60+ members of the Inwood VFD, and our son is now an honorary member!
We know how much time you all give to the community and how valuable your services are...All we can say is THANK YOU!
Great Site you have. It was a excellent way to see anything about a volunteers life in the states. Honorfull greets from Germany.

I am sorry to read about the Accident With the Fire Truck. I am also glad that all you travel in the cab as it may have way more serious. In the 70's when I ran with the Ridge Vol. Fire Dept;;;, Ridge Vol rescue Squad;; , Lexington Park Vol rescue Squad,, And the Lexington Park vol Fire dept. ( At that time it was Lexington vol Fire Dept) when I could. We Fire Fighters Rode on the Tail Gate with nothing but our hands to hang on to a bar across the top of the hoses, ( Some of the older members might remember that). Thank the Lord that no one had any serious injures. The Truck is easier than the Fighters to be replace. I mean The Truck is monitary piece of machinery. Every time I hear you guys get a call,. or any Fire Fighter or Rescue squad Personal get a call I pray things will go good and saftly. Thanks a lot for letting me speak out hear. P.S. KUDOS for the Fire Fighter for saving the Doggie from the water. Dennis Mayor San Diego , Ca.

My thoughts and Prayers are with you upon hearing of the Accident with the Engine.... Glad to hear that all members were released from Hospital with only minor injuries.....
I am proud and humbled to have been a very small part of the BDVFD in the late 80's to early 90's , and to this day , those years were some of the best times and I am glad to have worked with some of the best Firemen I know....
God's Bleesing and Peace and Continued watch over you to keep you safe ...

Sorry to read about the accident, but glad to here everyone is okay. I can relate to this type of incident. A few years ago, our pumper tanker was involved in a single vehicle accident enroute to a mutual aide call, and fortunately all crew on board was uninjured.
Hope your recovery from this incident is swift and pain free.

Greetings from the North Arabian Sea. It's hot as hell here. I see you guys are still making it happen. I can't thank everyone enough for everything I learned over the past 3 years there. Everyone made it fun and challenging and an overall blast to go screaming down the road and do some good for whoever needed help. It's rare that I can get on the internet out here so shoot me an email if you get a chance. I will check out the website when i can and hopefully when i get back this summer i can come up for a weekend and hangout. Stay safe and always stop at red lights (That's for Chief Engineer 3). Wish you could all join me in the sandbox.
