Where have you been my old buddy. I didn't get the notice of the old timers day at BDVFD. I would have made all efforts to come along with some of my other Navy buddies that where proud members of Company 3.

Just looked at the vintage photos posted on your website. Sure does bring back memories. Love the photo of Doug in his speedo, escorting a young lady to the water. I call that a speedo because in that time that's what it was. Keep on going Doug.

I remember as a little kid back in the 1970's spending time at the Bay District Fire Department with my Uncle Doug Medley when we went to visit my grandparents. Even back then I always remembered the professionalism and dedication the members of this fire department had. It is awesome to see that this is continued today. You all at the Bay District Fire Department deserve a huge "Thank You" for the standard that you set for all Volunteer fire departments in this country. The days that I did spend with my Dad and Uncle Doug at your station inspired me to become a Volunteer firefighter as well. After spending the last 27 years as a firefighter/Medic in Rapid City, South Dakota, I can't help but think of the paths that were paved for us by firefighters before us. You all have helped set the standard that we all work hard to acheive today! Glad to see that my Uncle Doug Medley is still helping out where he can even in the later stages of his life. I am proud to call him my uncle and would like to Thank him for introducing me to the fire service when I was a young child. It left a very good impression on me and helped me find my way to the fire service. Bay District Volunteers keep up that great service you provide to your community and remember the hard work and dedication of the firefighters before us that have worked with much less and got the fire service to where it is today. God bless you all!

A belated "thank you" to Arran Young for spending time Thanksgiving weekend showing me apparatus in Station 9. My oldest daughter lives a short distance from the station but is moving to a house near station 3. You have two great stations. My daughter's wedding reception is in station 3 in March, 2015.
Jason, Thanks for giving us a shout out on your web page.
Question - Did Firehouse Solutions add the scanner feed in the left hand column or is that something you did?
Be safe & Happy Holidays!!
