Auto Vs. Pedestrian
By Fire Sergeant Mike Bruner
February 9, 2012
On 02/05/2012 as the volunteers started to make dinner and sit down to watch the Superbowl company 3 and surrounding EMS units were alerted to the area of Great Mills and Canopy Liquors for the auto versus pedestrian. Engine 31(Sgt. Bruner) responded at the time of dispatch and arrived to find EMS units already on the scene assessing the single patient and immediately requested the helo for a category "A" priority 1 trauma. Command 3(LT. Waikart) arrived and established the "Great Mills RD Command" and advised that the landing zone would be at Nicolett Park. Due to another serious incident occurring in the north end of the county, this brought Tpr 2. Engine 33(Sgt. Ticson) established the landing zone for Tpr 2 at Nicolett Park, however the trooper decided to land at the county airport. All units were in service within the hour.
