By Bay District Volunteers
December 10, 2023

At 09:18 AM on December 10, 2023, Bay District Station 9, HVFD Station 7, and neighboring EMS companies were swiftly dispatched to the scene of an auto accident reported as serious.

Upon marking up with communications, responding units were initially informed of the possibility of entrapment. HVFD Chief 7A (B. Rector), quickly arrived on the scene, assumed command, and promptly communicated that there was no entrapment involved.

Squad 7 and Rescue Engine 92 arrived on the scene, initiating the evaluation of the patients until the arrival of EMS personnel. Thankfully, upon assessment, it was determined that there was no entrapment, and the situation was under control.

EMS units, working seamlessly with the fire department, provided immediate medical attention and subsequently transported two patients to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The coordinated efforts of Bay District Station 9, HVFD Station 7, and the surrounding EMS companies exemplify the commitment of our emergency responders to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

We extend our gratitude to all personnel involved in the swift and effective response to this incident. Their dedication and professionalism in managing this situation underscore the importance of the ongoing collaboration between emergency response teams in safeguarding our community.
