By Bay District Volunteers
December 20, 2021

On December 20, 2021 just before 7am, Companies 3 & 9 and surrounding companies were alerted for a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment.

En 32, Chief 3, & Chief 3B responded just after dispatch along with Rescue Engine 92. Chief 3B arrived first reporting a head-on style accident with one vehicle on it's side. En 32 arrived and started stabilizing the overturned vehicle while confirming a fatality in the other vehicle. Chief 3 arrived and established command as RE 92 arrived & assisted in finishing stabilizing the vehicle and the crews worked to cut the roof and fold it down to access the driver. Units from Pax River and Ridge VFD assisted in extrication as they arrived. Command requested Trooper 7 and the helicopter landed at the scene. Ems units took over patient care once they were freed from the vehicle.

The road was closed for a few hours for reconstruction and EN 32 & RE 92 returned to assist the police.
