MVA w/ Double Fly Out

On 4/12//19 units were dispatched for the MVA on Old Rolling Road and Settlers Ln in California. Engine 73 responded from station 3 ( filling in while units from 3 and 9 were operating on a structure fire), along with E-91, Chief 9B, and Safety 3. Engine 73 arrived to find a two car MVA with one vehicle off the road. E-73 advised they had 2 patients, 1 with a compound fracture of the leg, and 1 with a head injury. Units on the scene assisted with patient care and loaded the patients for transport. After further assessment by EMS it was determined both patients would need to by flown to trauma centers. A-397 and A-197 transported both patients to the hanger where MSP Trooper's 2 and 7 were waiting. Both patients were flown to PG. E-73 obtained one signed refusal before units returned to service.
