Another weekend helping the community and spreading the word about fire safety! A busy weekend, but a lot of fun. Both station 3 & 9 members got out to help at few events in our area. We had a Grand opening at Cecil's Mill Storage down in Great Mills, a Boy's & Girls Club picnic and Tap's Community Brotherhood picnic both held at Nicolette Park in Lexington Park. As usual we had a great turn out from our dedicated members to get out and visit with the kids from our area. It's a great feeling when these guys go above and beyond the day to day work of the fire department to do a little extra for our community and for the kids. They always have such a big smile on their faces when they see those yellow trucks coming to visit with them. It's good to see the fireman and kids get to know each other in these types of circumstances. Maybe they will feel a little more comfortable with them if or when they needed them in an emergency. With such a great turn out and with giving up a Saturday we all decided to head over to Monteray's for lunch. It was definitely well deserved!! Thanks for all those who helped out with the events this week and weekend.
