On Monday, January 20, 2020, at approximately 2:40 p.m.,Bay District and surrounding companies were alerted to the area of Patuxent Beach Road and South Patuxent Beach Road in California, for the motor vehicle accident reported serious, with one subject trapped.

E72 (HVFD) was on the air in the area and requested to run the box, E72 arrived to find a multiple vehicle accident with one subject trapped in the vehicle. Squad 3 was next arriving and started extrication on the trapped patient.

One patient was transported to the Maryland State Police Helicopter Hangar in Hollywood, where Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 transported them to PG Hospital trauma center.

Assistant Fire Chief 3 (D. Burroughs) held the command of the incident.
