New Engine 92 to be Dedicated to Doug Medley

On Monday, July 23 the department held its monthly business meeting at Station 3 in Lexington Park. As usual we conducted our normal meeting, Vice President Richard “Sully” Sullivan made a motion to have the new Engine 92 dedicated to Past Chief Douglas Medley, the motion passed unanimously by the membership.
The new Engine 92 has had the specifications sent to numerous manufacturers requesting sealed bids for building the engine. The bids are requested to be returned by the end of August and awarding of the contract is expected to be in September.
