Another extrication in California
By Bay District Volunteers
October 12, 2017
Shortly after 8pm Thursday units from Bay District and Hollywood were dispatched for a reported serious MVA with MSP on the scene confirming one overturned.
Engine 91 responded right after dispatch with 5 volunteers and shortly upon arrival advised they had a single vehicle on its side off the roadway with one person trapped. Engine 91 worked to initially stabilize and secure the vehicle. Chef 7A arrived on the scene and assumed the California command and Engine 91 was assigned the safety group. Squad 7 arrived and assumed the extrication group while assisting in further stabilizing the vehicle and then began to remove the patient from the vehicle. Once the patient was free they were evaluated by EMS.
Crews were able to clear shortly after and were on the scene for about 30 minutes
