January 27, 2017

Around 2021 hours Co 3 was alerted for the MVA Serious at Three Notch Road at Mattapany Road in the 4-02 Box (Ridge VFD's first due area).

Chief 3 & Squad 3 marked up soon after dispatch. Chief 3 arrived first finding a 2 vehicle accident head on style. Chief 3 corrected the location of the accident to the 3-09 box south of Popular Ridge Road. A second crew was standing by at Company 3 and quickly jumped on Engine 32 and responded to the scene.

Chief 3 reported 2 occupants were deceased in the sedan and the occupant in the SUV needed to be sent to a trauma center utilizing Trooper 7. Engine 43 handled the Landing Zone at Spring Ridge Middle School.

Squad 3 and Engine 32 removed the drivers door of the SUV disentangling the occupant. Once the occupant was removed, EMS packaged the patient for transport to the landing zone.

Squad 3 and Engine 32 remained on scene to assist the medical examiner. Units removed the deceased occupants from the vehicle.

Command was terminated and units were able to return to quarters by 2223 hours.
