Thanks to everyone that responded to the serious MVA on Chancellors Run Rd. yesterday. Your hard work and professionalism made a very serious accident and my job easier. The fire went out and the patients were extricated. A Job Well Done! Thank You!!

Nice web page. My wife has a sweatshirt with your Heavy Recue. Apparently her brother Jim Anderson was a volunteer with your dept. a few years back while serving in the Navy stationed in your area. Stay low and stay safe!

Just want to say, from being a retired Police Officer and having a relief point at the commack LI NY fire house i have some knowledge at what you guys go through.Keep up the good work and everybody is proud of you people.God Bless.
Every time I go back and check you guys out, I am amazed at the progress, growth and professionalism conducted by a department known for its ghetto-fabulous volunteers. The website, itself, breathes passion and commitment. I like to make the officers out here at YFD look at the website to gain an understanding of the pride and effectiveness associated with top-notch volunteer fire departments. I am proud to say that all of them so far have been very impressed.
I'm still thankful for the experience I gained with Bay District. I just finished writing a DG for the volunteer corps that they're creating out here. Kind of interesting reading through the history of a department that began volunteer over a century ago, being the only volunteer currently. I'm one exam away from getting my EMT transferred to AZ and have also been trained and certified in Child Passenger Safety thanks to YFD's budget and Safe Kids Coalition. I'm planning to attend an NFA class next year and will hopefully be able to visit.
You're all in my thoughts and prayers. I'm proud to have been a member of the best VFD in the world!
Great job with any of the calls that you got on Thursday with that snow storm.
