I spent a good long time going over the site yesterday and I'm really impressed! The videos are awesome! I even like the music, although Aerosmith would fit just as well. I'm so proud of Stephen and all of you for giving it all you've got and doing it in the spirit of volunteer work. We are having a breakfast September 11, served by those that work where I do (Farmington Care Center in Farmington CT), for the voluteer firefighters that work so hard in that town. For the number of 911 that come out of our building they should get a dinner and weekend at the Marriott too. Stay safe and God Bless you all!!!

To the Gentlemen and Lady that responded to my home when I went seeking advice as to an incident involving gasoline being "spilled" (poured) inside my home, I want to say a belated but heartfelt Thank You! The responding crew were fantastic. Not only did they come and assess the damage but removed the ruined carpet also. They handled themselves professionally and efficiently but in a manner that lightened my mood over the enormity of the situation as well, even putting up with and trying to make friends with my very protective German Shepard who wanted them out of her yard. Apologies to the gentlemen who's leg she prefered to nip at!
Thanks again to all of ya'll and be safe in what you do.

Greetings from an alumni of the Lexington Park/Bay District Volunteer Fire Co. in the mid 70's (73-75). I was looking over your web site and some of the names brought back memories, The Fairfax's, Doug Medley, Les Hansen and Mel Tennyson. In looking at google maps I see the area sure has changed in 30 years.
I was in VP-30 stationed at Pax River in those days. I have since retired from the USN after 22 years and now work as a 9-1-1 dispatcher in Norfolk, VA. I am also a volunteer EMT-Enhanced with the Plaza Volunteer Fire Co. & Rescue Squad. Please check out our web page @ www.plazarescue.com. We have 4 medium duty ambulances and a heavy squad truck and run about 6,000 rescue/medical calls a year. We are 1 of 10 volunteer rescue stations. My son Dan will be visiting Lexington Park this in the next couple of days and may stop by. Very glad to see you all (y'all) are doing so well. In coming from a small volunteer Fire Company in central New Jersey, I have also credited Bay District with furthering my training in the short time I was there. I'm sure it kept my volunteerism alive and its still going strong today. Thank Again and Stay well and Be safe.

After looking at your site, I had to leave this message. Thank You to the members of BDVFD who visited Ground Zero. Two friends of mine FDNY members were lost
that day, and two civilian friends. While three others who worked in Tower 1 survived. I just want to thank you for visiting the site, and honoring their memory.
Just goes to show how small a world it really is.

I'd appreciate if someone would E-Mail me to keep in touch.

Hey Grape! and all the guys! I miss being around the county watching you guys race off to fires/accidents/etc. I read the story about your dedication and help with an accident you guys came up on on your way to Ocean City. Even when you guys are going to have some well deserved fun its great to see that you are still entirely dedicated to helping others! Wonderful work with the victims and quick reaction are your greatest traits and you guys use them well IN the county and even when your OUT of it! Keep up the great work and I love all the pics even tho they are from the work you do...they help keep me 'connected' to LP City and St. Mary's County!

I would like to thank the firefighters that were on the scence on 6-6-04. This tremendous accident that my family and myself were in. My niece Makyia was the little girl that was hurt the worst and I want everyone to know that she is in the best condition any little girl would be in. She is going to be 6 years old this year. She has made a full recovery and I am so thankful that we have her. Nobody thought she was going to recover as well as she did but she came out of it completely. It took awhile but she is GREAT. Every year I put something on this website because I feel as though all of you should be appreciated. If not from anyone else at least I appreciate all the hard work you all do. It takes a lot for someone to do the things you all do. I just thought I would say THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK. WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF WE DIDN'T HAVE YOU ALL. THANKS....
