| On 10/9/2010, members from Stations 3 and 9 loaded up on rescue engine 92 and headed north to Ruf Ruf Lane in Hollywood for a countywide R.I.T. Drill. Units from almost every department in the county were in attendance and started rolling in around 09:00. While personnel were being briefed on the scenarios for the day tones dropped for the working house fire in Leonardtown. A parade of apparatus was seen responding to the fire, and after putting in a little work on the scene units returned to carry out the drill. Once the briefing was finished there were two scenarios carried out. The first being a disoriented firefighter running low on air. The RIT team was immediately dispatched and located the distressed firefighter in a reasonable amount of time and simulated providing him with air and escorting him to safety. Once the first scenario was completed and units and tools were restored a short debriefing was conducted and it was on to the next scenario. This time a firefighter on the initial attack crew had fallen threw a hole in the floor and was trapped in between the first and second floor. The RIT crew made excellent work of removing the trapped firefighter and bringing him to safety. A good day was had by all and some very knowledgeable information was gained. Special thanks to fire chief 7 D.J. Brady for conducting this drill and all the companies in attendance for participating.
