On Friday night, May 21, 2010 at 2307 hours the Volunteers from Bay District, Lexington Park EMS and Hollywood EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Chancellors Run Road and Sayre Drive for the MVA reported Head On. All units marked up at dispatch fully staffed and Engine 92 arrived on the scene at 2308 hours advising of a Head-On accident and established the "California Command". The crew from the Rescue Engine did a quick scene survey and found that all patients were out of the vehicle and then they secured power to the vehicles and assisted with patient care. At 2313 hours Chief 3 (Gould) and Squad 3 arrived on the scene and assumed the command while the Squad went to work assisting with patient care and fluid clean up. After the EMS companies did their patient assessment it was determined that one patient needed to be flown to a trauma center so command requested a Helicopter. Engine 33 was then alerted to setup the landing zone at the Regional Park for Trooper 7. Once all patients were loaded command terminated and crews operated on this scene for about 45 minutes assisting the Sheriff's Department.
