| On March 22, 2009 at 2240 hours the Volunteers from Ridge, Bay District and NAWC Fire Department were dispatched to 49527 Carroll Road for the House on fire. Engine 33 (Sgt. Allen), Squad 3 (Lt. Stockwell), Tower 9 (FF. Foster) along with Chief 3A responded within a minute of dispatch. At 2252 hours Engine 43, Engine 33 and Chief 4 arrived on the scene establishing a water supply and reporting a single story residence with smoke showing and Chief 4 establishing the "Carroll Road Command". Engine 43 and Engine 33's crews advanced two 1.75" attack lines into the residence and made quick work of the fire. Due to the long driveway to the residence all other incoming units were advised to stage in line of approach and bring the requested equipment and personnel to the scene. Engine 33's crew conducted the Primary Search with negative results. Squad 3 and Engine 42's crew opened up for the Engine Company and completed the secondary search. Engine 42's crew and Tower 9 setup ventilation and lighting for the scene. Units operated on the scene for just under 2 hours before returning to quarters. |
