School Bus Hits Fuel Pump At Sheetz

On September 26, 2007 at 0854 hours the Volunteers of Bay District were alerted to the California Sheetz at 22711 Three Notch Road for the reported accident with injuries involving a school bus. Engine 91 and Squad 3 along with Chief 3 and Chief 3B all responded within seconds of the dispatch. At 0855 hours Engine 91 arrived on the scene advising no students on board and the bus had struck a fuel pump. As soon as the accident happened the manager of Sheetz shut all the pumps down using the emergency shut-off. Chief 3 arrived next and established the "California Sheetz Command" advising to hold Engine 91, Squad 3 and one Ambulance. The crews assisted in packaging the patient into the ambulance and secured power to the bus. Once completed Squad 3 returned and Engine 91 remained on the scene until the tow service removed the bus.
