December 13, 2023

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Bay District Station 9 and surrounding EMS companies were dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Road and MacArthur Boulevard in California for a reported motor vehicle collision with injuries.

Upon arrival at the scene, emergency crews discovered a T-bone style collision involving two vehicles. The impact of the collision left the passenger of the SUV trapped inside, prompting the immediate request for additional resources.

In a rapid and coordinated response, firefighters from Bay District Station 9, along with Squad 3 from the Lexington Park Station, swiftly initiated the extrication process. The crew on Rescue Engine 92 successfully freed the passenger from the SUV in under 10 minutes.

Emergency medical personnel provided immediate care on-site and subsequently transported the injured patients to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, the injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.

The efficient and professional response from Bay District Station 9 and collaborating EMS companies highlights the dedication and skill of the emergency personnel in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
