MVA with Entrapment

On 12/4/05 at 0932 the Bay District Volunteers were dispatched for a MVA at Great Mills Rd and Signature Lane. A unit from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene within minutes and advised fireboard communications that they had a subject trapped and unconscious. A few seconds later Fire Chief 3 (Wayne Johnson) arrived on scene and advised two subjects trapped and to start the next squad. Engine 32 under the command of Lieutenant (David Carroll) arrived on scene and started extrication on the vehicle and later handled the landing zone for Maryland State Police Trooper 2. Rescue Squad 3 under the command of Firefighter Travis Bowes performed the extrication of the patients and Rescue Squad 7 crew remained available on the scene. The crew from Engine 32 and Squad 3 took the roof and extricated the victims within 5 minutes. Fire Chief Johnson had the Great Mills Rd. command.
