In the early hours of Sunday, December 3, 2023, emergency services were summoned to the 21500 block of Exquisite Court in Lexington Park to respond to a motor vehicle collision involving a residential structure.

At approximately 1:33 a.m., Bay District Stations 3 & 9, along with surrounding EMS Companies, were dispatched to the scene following reports of a single-vehicle collision into a trailer. Police officers, who arrived prior to fire & EMS units, informed that the vehicle's operator was trapped and unconscious.

Upon assessment, the incident was swiftly upgraded to a serious motor vehicle collision with entrapment, prompting the deployment of additional firefighters and medical personnel to the location.

Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the severity of the situation – a vehicle had collided with the side of a residence, trapping the operator who was found unconscious and not breathing. Immediate action was taken as emergency crews performed a rapid extrication and initiated CPR.

Despite the valiant efforts of the responders, emergency medical personnel later pronounced the operator deceased on the scene.

Fortunately, all six occupants of the residence reported no injuries as a result of the incident.
