Just after midnight on Saturday morning Bay District was alerted for a serious motor vehicle accident with subjects trapped. Squad 3 responded shortly after dispatch with Rescue Engine 92 responding shortly thereafter. Enroute police on the scene confirmed a vehicle overturned with two patients trapped. Squad 3 arrived with a vehicle that had broken a telephone pole overturned on its roof off the roadway in a ditch.

Squad 3 went to work stabilizing the vehicle and starting extrication. Rescue Engine 92 arrived and assisted in the extrication. After removing both passenger side doors both patients were removed from the vehicle in about 15 minutes and turned over to EMS for patient care. Both patients were transported by the Maryland State Police Aviation Unit to area trauma centers. Engine 93 handled the landing zone at Great Mills High School.
