On Friday, July 3, 2020, at 5:01 a.m., Fire and EMS were alerted to 2836 Crab Pot Lane in Piney Point. Units from Second District VFDRS, Bay District VFD (Stations 3&9), Leonardtown VFD, NDWFD (Pax River), Hollywood VFD, Ridge VFD, Seventh District VFD and EMS companies 6, 39 & 38 all responded.

E61 arrived on the scene to find a one-story residence with fire showing from the roof. Units performed an aggressive attack on the fire, and it was controlled in 45 minutes. No injuries were reported on the scene. Units remained on scene for 2 ½ hours performing overhaul and assisting the Fire Marshal with their investigation.
