Busy Afternoon for Volunteers

The afternoon started with a motor vehicle accident with 2 occupants trapped. Rescue 3 and Chief 3 quickly stabilized the vehicle and performed a driver side blow out of both doors and popped the passenger door open. Both occupants were removed from the vehicle within 5 minutes of Rescue 3's arrival. Both patients were transported by Trooper 7 which Engine 132 handled the landing site.

An assault victim came to Company 3 while the Rescue was working the car accident and started patient care and requested Trooper 2 for this patient. Ambulance 138 from Patuxent River Fire Department assisted on this call.

Brush 3 responded to a report of an outside fire. After searching the first reported area Brush 3 found a woods fire from Cedar Cove Beach. It was only able to e reached by foot and Brush 3 was able to contain the fire with bladder bags until additional manpower from the station arrived. Ridge VFD Boat 4 was requested to establish a supply water to ensure no hot spots were left to reignite.

As the woods fire was happening a building fire in Solomon's went out and Engine 31 and Tower 9 responded but returned shortly after.

During the night Engine 31 and Engine 91 also assisted the ambulances with man power.
