Southern Maryland News Net, September 25

On Sunday, September 25, 2022, at approximately 10:55 a.m., firefighters from Bay District Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 23000 block of FDR Boulevard in California, for a smoke investigation.

On August 4, 2022 while Bay District units were operating on an apartment fire in Lexington Park we were dispatched to 47382 Lincoln Avenue in the South Hampton Neighborhood for an outside fire. Ridge VFD Engine 41 was performing the fill in at Station 3 and responded. Brush 9 was clearing the apartment fire and also responded to assist. Working Townhouse Fire in Lexington Park

On Thursday, August 4 at 10:12 am units from Bay District, NDWFD, Hollywood VFD and Lexington Park VRS were alerted for an apartment fire at 22025 Valley Estates Drive in Lexington Park. Auto Accident with Entrapment in Great Mills

At 3:35 pm units from Bay District were dispatched to the area of Point Lookout Road & Goddard Road for a motor vehicle accident with subjects trapped. Chief 4B (Cooper) arrived on scene in moments and established the Great Mills Command. Serious Auto Accident in California

Bay District Volunteers, July 24

At 4:43 pm units were dispatched to St. Andrews Church Road in the area of the landfill for a serious motor vehicle accident with subjects trapped. E91 arrived and reported no entrapment, several injuries with one being serious. Three vehicles were involved and two were off the road into the woods on opposite sides of the road.

Fire Captain Anthony King, April 26

At 1118 hours Squad 3 and Engine 91 responded to the 24600 block of Old Three Notch Rd in Company 7s first due response area for a reported kitchen fire. Due to units clearing the first structure fire the assignment (13 minutes earlier) was altered. Units from Company 9 and 3 were the first arriving units on scene. In the midafternoon Company 3 was alerted for a small brush fire.

Brush 3 and Tanker 34 responded. Once on scene Brush 3 reported about one acre was on fire and requested another brush unit and tanker to the scene. Bay District Volunteers, January 14

On Friday, January 14th at 1:39 p.m. Bay District and surrounding departments were alerted to the 45000 block of Barefoot Drive for the reported structure fire. Bay District Engine 91, Engine 32, Tower 9 and Tanker 34 responded, Engine 91 arrived to find a small shed involved with fire with extension to a neighboring shed and leaves/grass was burning in several adjacent yards.
