Engine 93 Mid-Inspection Trip Completed

Members of the Engine 93 Committee paid a visit to the Pierce Fire Apparatus factory in Appleton, Wisconsin on September 23rd and 24th to perform the mid-production inspection. The apparatus was inspected from top to bottom with several items verified as to what was going to be installed and where. Overall the engine looked great and the members are looking forward to having this rig in our station soon.

Members attending the inspection trip were Jeff Evans, Shawn Downs, Jeff Bixby, Les Hansen, Pat Stanley and Mark Warren along with our salesman Randy Schwartz.

Engine 93 Week 4 Update

This week, cab, chassis and pump house have been merged. The body and side panels finished in paint with the body receiving additional harnessing and trim. Next week, the body and water tank should join the chassis on the main assembly line.

The committee is expected to be heading out for a post paint inspection of the Engine this week so more pictures to come.

Engine 93 Production Week 3

This week the cab began on the cab line where cab related content are added. The pump house and body finished fabrication and began the paint process with both in metal finishing. Next week the cab should be merged with the newly assembled chassis (scheduled to begin in the next few days). The pump house and body should finish in paint.

Engine 93 Production Week 2

This week the cab continued in paint. The pump and pump house were merged and plumbing was being assembled. The body panels were being welded. Next week the cab should finish in paint and begin on the cab line where cab content is assembled. The pump house and associated plumbing should be complete and painted. The body should begin the paint process.

New Pumper Tanker Hits The Production Line

This week Engine 93 started the production line. The cab just completed fabrication and began the paint process in metal finishing. Next week the cab should begin the paint process while the pump house and body should begin fabrication. Stay tuned for more updates every Friday until completion.

New Pumper Tanker Nears The Production Line

The new Pierce Pumper Tanker is nearing the production line; the committee has been working hard with our salesman Randy Schwartz on the final touches so that the engineering book can be closed. The production start date is August 28th and the weekly pictures will be following that next Friday. The committee is scheduled for a post paint inspection of the unit over the weekend of September 23rd and a Final Inspection near October 12th.

This unit is a Arrow XT Dry Side Pumper Tanker that will carry 2500 gallons of water and is equipped with a FoamPro System that has 25 gallons of class A & B foam. Also on the unit will carry a 3000 gallon folding tank for rural water supply operations both in our first due and our mutual aid company's first due. This unit's designation will be Engine 93 and will be housed at our California Station.
