At 1118 Stations 3 and 9 were alerted for a 10-50 P.I. with entrapment at the intersection of Willows Road and Maryland Route 5. Station 3 marked up with Engine 32 and Squad 3 right away with Rescue Engine 92 right behind them. All units were fully staffed with Captain Sullivan in charge from Station 3 and Deputy Chief Downs on Rescue Engine 92. Upon arrival it was determined right away that it was a t-bone type of collision with the female driver of the car trapped in her vehicle. Captain Sullivan had the command and Deputy Chief Downs the extrication command and our members proceeded to stabilize the car before starting to remove all the door posts and then the roof of the car to allow the medical people to access the patient. At all times during the removal of the roof the patient was protected and medical took care making sure that she was immobilized to avoid further harm to her.

After using all the tools off Squad 3 and removing the entire roof of the car the young lady was removed by the medical personnel and transported to St. Mary's Hospital.

The members of the department wish her a speedy recovery.
