At 4:13pm on August 5th units were dispatched to Circle Drive for a reported working house fire. Engine 32, Engine 72 & Truck 3 all marked up and were in the area returning from another reported house fire. Engine 32 split laid from the end of the street and went on location with a two story dwelling with heavy smoke and fire showing. Engine 72 picked up the split lay and completed it to the hydrant while both crews pulled hand lines for fire attack. Truck 3 arrived on the scene and started ventilation and Chief 3 assumed command. As additional units arrived primary and secondary searches were completed with negative results. The crews from Engines 3 & 7 were able to knock down the fire that had consumed both floors and was through the roof. All units worked together and were able to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes and units remained on the scene for about 2 hours for salvage and overhaul. This incident is still under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall.
