| As of 12/11/06, the new E-32 is currently on the production line at the American LaFrance plant in Hamburg, New York. The chassis is being worked on and the body is still in a jig getting fabricated. Painting of the body will occur around Christmas.
An inspection trip for the committee members has been tentatively scheduled for the 2nd week of January. At that time, the body will have been painted and will be ready for installation on the chassis. Committee members will be able to do an inspection of the chassis and body.
The estimated delivery date is the beginning of February. Members will pick-up the unit and bring it to the station. Equipment will be placed and then the unit will be taken to DPC for equipment mounting and lettering. |
