Veterans Day - Honoring Those Who Served

By Bay District Volunteers
November 11, 2025

Today, the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department proudly honors all of our veteran members and the veterans throughout our community.

We pause to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of those who have worn our nation’s uniform. Their service protects the freedoms enjoyed every day, and their continued contributions to the community - both inside and outside the fire service - make a lasting impact.

To our veteran firefighters, EMTs, and volunteers: dedication to service did not end with military careers. These individuals continue to lead by example, and the department is grateful for everything they bring to the Bay District family.

To all veterans in St. Mary’s County and beyond: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your steadfast commitment to our nation.

We stand with veterans today and every day.

Thank you, Veterans.
