| Cancer remains the leading cause of line-of-duty deaths among firefighters. Every January, departments across the country recognize Fire Fighter Cancer Awareness Month to honor those we've lost, educate our members, and take action toward prevention. At Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, we stand committed to the health, safety, and long-term well-being of our personnel. This month serves as a critical reminder that cancer risk reduction starts with awareness, education, and operational discipline. |

The Risk Is Real Firefighters are exposed to a wide range of cancer-causing toxins:
