| The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce its elected and appointed officers for 2025. These dedicated individuals will lead the department in its continued mission to protect and serve the Southern Maryland community with professionalism, skill, and care. The Executive Officers for the year are: Wayne Johnson – President The department’s Line Officers, responsible for emergency response operations, include: Jason Turner – Fire Chief Supporting operational leadership are the department’s Sergeants: Anthony Pensenstadler – SGT 3A
Zak Werkhiser – Safety 3 Chaplain R. Keith Fairfax remains a trusted source of support for members and their families. Oversight of health, policy, and guidelines will be managed by David Dean, while Brian Stritzel (WS 3) and Bruce Theden (WS 9) oversee water supply coordination. Jason Adams serves as both the department’s Public Information Officer and Webmaster, helping to keep the community informed and connected. Training remains a top priority, guided by: Rick Redmond – Training Officer of MFRI Vital support roles are filled by: Noah Nicholson – Chief Engineer The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department congratulates all newly elected and appointed officers and expresses gratitude for their continued commitment to excellence in service.
