On Friday, September 30 at 09:06 The Bay District Volunteers were dispatched to a working house fire "Across From" 45760 Belvoir Road in Greenview Knolls for fire from the rear window of a residence. Emergency Communications dispatched Station 9, Tower 9, Station 3, Station 7 (HVFD) and EMS 39. Engine 91 responded under the command of Fire Sergeant Jeff Beach and met Captain Marvin "Rooty" Jones on the scene where he joined the crew. Engine 91 arrived at 22254 Colmar Lane and reported a working fire in a single story home at 09:11. Engine 91's crew, led by Captain Jones, forced entry to the front door and began to search for the fire. The crew encountered high heat and smoke conditions, but no fire. The crew split and started a search and to locate the seat of the fire.

Captain Jones and Sergeant Kyle Adams found the fire room and located a victim lying in the floor and notified the command that they were removing the victim at 09:15. The crew immediately put a "Knock" on the remaining fire in the bedroom and removed the victim via the interior hallway. Captain Jones and Sergeant Adams met with Sergeant Beach in the hallway were they joined efforts in removing the victim to the front lawn to awaiting EMS personnel.

Unknown if other residents were still in the house the trio entered the house and performed a vigorous search of the residence with no other victims found. Crews from Station 3 and Station 7 assisted with ventilation and performing numerous secondary searches which proved to be negative. Despite all the efforts of all personnel on the scene the female victim succumbed to her injuries. Additional units were added for the working fire dispatch and assisted with searches & ventilation.
