On Friday, April 3, 2020, at 6:59 a.m., units from Bay District Volunteer Fire Department Stations 3 and 9 along with surrounding departments responded to 21901 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park (Captain Pats Seafood Restaurant), for the reported commercial building fire. Over 50 firefighters responded and controlled the fire in 35 minutes. The cause is deemed accidental and caused by a malfunction in the boiler, the fire caused major damage to the restaurant and its contents as reported by the Maryland State Fire Marshal Office.
