75th Anniversary Celebration

By Bay District Volunteers
August 27, 2018

On Saturday, August 25th the members of Bay District celebrated our 75th anniversary of serving the community. The day started off as a beautiful Saturday morning with an old-fashioned fireman’s parade. The parade was attended by many of the community lined up along Great Mills Road to see their volunteers and the many other groups that joined us.

After the parade completed we continued to fire station 3 where we had something for everyone. We had several food trucks with different varieties of food, we had moon bounces, face painting and arts & crafts for the children. On the back side of the lot we had set up for fireman’s games to participate in and the beautiful cars that participated in the parade we set up for display. We provided fire prevention material for everyone, remember, Stop, Drop & Roll.

Thank you to the car clubs and civic groups that participated.

The night ended with a private dinner and band for the members and past members of the department, a good time was had by all.

The day was a huge success and we are proud to have served the community for 75 years. We look forward to the next 75 years.
