At 1630 hrs. stations were alerted for a reported house fire at 26448 Peninsular Drive in the Hollywood Shores neighborhood. Units from Bay District Station 9 responded with the Engine and Tower. Chief 7 arrived on the scene to find a two-story residential home with fire throughout the entire structure. Ammunition stored in the residence was actively going off and all units were advised to fight the fire from outside.

Engine 92 arrived with Tower 9 shortly behind it and units were advised to form the RIT group. After an initial knock from the outside and a brief knockdown with aerial operations from Truck 7 the bulk of the fire was extinguished, and crews were allowed inside to continue wetting down hot spots. Midway through the incident the crews were rotated, and RIT was assigned to a different company and Company 9's crew relieved units operating inside and continued mop up operations.

Station 9 units remained on the scene and assisted in cleanup before returning in service about two hours later.

Engine 32 assisted Hollywood by providing coverage for their station during the incident
