Townhouse Fire with Subjects Trapped

Stations 3, 13, 9, & 4 were alerted to the structure fire.

Engine 32, Truck 3, & Chief 3B all marked up right after dispatched followed by Engine 91 & Tower 9. While the rest of the responding units were marking up dispatched advised responding units of 4 subjects trapped on the 3rd floor.

Engine 32 arrived first finding a middle of the row townhome with smoke showing from the 3rd-floor and the occupants trying to escape from the windows. Engine 32 crew quickly ran inside with an attack line to reach the occupants. Truck 3 arrived right behind the engine and quickly deployed ground ladders to the 3rd-floor windows. Engine 32's crew made it to the occupants and assisted them with breathing off the Self-contained breathing apparatus they had on. The crew then put the children out the windows to Truck 3's crew who climbed the ladders to get them. The adult occupant was taken out last. All trapped occupants were removed from the structure within 7 minutes of Engine 32's arrival.

Engine 91 pulled a secondary line to the first floor as Engine 32 repositioned its line to the garage. Truck 3 reported the primary search after the occupant's removal was negative.

The fire was contained to the garage and held in check by the sprinkler system. The occupants did have working smoke detectors as well. The Fire Marshall was called to investigate the cause of the fire.

EMS units transported the occupants to the local hospital.
