Commercial Building Fire in Hollywood

Saturday afternoon around 3:15 pm units from Stations 7,1,9,3 and 5 were alerted for a building fire at Anthony's Upholstery in Hollywood.

Bay District units responded to assist Hollywood bringing Engine 91, Tower 9, Tanker 34 and Squad 3.

Chief 7A arrived on scene reporting a 1 story commercial building with fire throughout and he was assuming command. Engine 72 arrived on scene and began extinguishing the fire. Other units from Hollywood arrived and assisted before Engine 91 arrived on scene. Once Engine 91 arrived they dropped there crew off to assist in extinguishment while the Engine went to the Hollywood Post Office to assist in water supply operations. Tower 9 and Squad 3 arrived and assisted with ventilation and overhaul.

The fire was contained to a workshop in a single bay of the business. One person working in the establishment was taken to the hospital for minor burns to his hands

Units from Bay District remained on the scene for a few hours before returning to service
