Another Extrication in 9's area

On July 22nd at 1459 hrs, Stations 9, 7, and 3 were alerted for the MVA reported serious on Three Notch Rd in the area of the Wildewood shopping center. Chief 3, 3A, 9B, Safety 3, E-91, RS-7 and RS-3 all marked up right after dispatch. Chief 3A was the first to arrive on scene with a multi car MVA, one car requiring a drivers side blow out to remove the driver. Chief 3 arrived on scene assuming command, giving 3A the rescue group. E-91 stabilized the vehicles, secured power and airbags, Squads 3 & 7 worked together to remove the B post and driver side doors to free the trapped occupant. Multiple patients were transported to Medstar St. Marys and one patient was transported to Prince Georges Hospital Trauma Center by Ambulance 387.
