Just as the evening rush hour was getting under way a motor vehicle accident went out at the base of the Thomas Johnson Bridge on the St. Mary's side.

Engine 91 & Rescue 3 were able to responded quickly after dispatch. Traffic quickly backed up along Routes 4 & 235. En 91 arrived first advising of a 3 car accident with one occupant being a priority 4. Rescue 3 arrived and set up for extrication. All the other occupants were able to be removed without ease and were all assessed by EMS on scene. 1 person was transported by Trooper 7 to shock trauma.

As this incident was coming to a close another MVA went out in Co 3's area that was reported serious. Rescue 3 was committed to the call on Rt 4 so other Rescues were added to this call as Engine 32 responded to that call.
