It Was A BOO Through Station 3

It was a scary night in downtown Lexington Park and all the ghosts and goblins were out in force so the fire
fighters from station 3 wanted to see all the little kids and their costumes so they along with some of our associates decided to decorate the place. We call it a safe candy give away and the families can rest assured that candy that is given out by the members of Bay District is safe. We give good stuff to and I know that for a fact because I have to sample each of the bowls on the table.

It is so funny because we have one member who dresses up as a gorilla and he (Gary Hanbury) really plays the part. The kids and the grown ups have to really take a second look before coming in the firehouse. It was kind of nice because the rescue squad was also giving out candy in front of their new station across the street from our station.

It is so cute to watch the cars pull up front with the parents and when they get out with their kids and then they decide to come up to the building all the little ones are pulling on Mom or Dad’s arm about maybe we don’t want to go up there. Then the gorilla jumps out and that about seals the deal. Halloween is so much fun for young and old and I hope it never goes away. I know some of you older people who read this stuff remember when you were the Lone Ranger or Tonto or just maybe a fireman.

So we will see you all next year same time, same place and be prepared because you never know what might step out at the BOO HOUSE.
