At 2037 on September 3rd, Stations 3, 9, 13, and 6 were dispatched for a trailer fire on Winding Way in the Lord Calvert Mobile Home Park in Lexington Park. Stations 3 & 9 immediately responded with Engine 31 with 4 personnel, Rescue 3 with 8 personnel, Engine 33 with 2 personnel and Engine 91 with 4 personnel. While responding fireboard communications advised the responding units this would be a working fire.

Fire Chief 3 arrived with fire showing from the back bedroom. Engine 31 and Rescue 3 arrived shortly after Fire Chief 3; Engine 31’s crew preformed a split lay from Short Way and stretched a 200’ 1 3/4" crosslay while Rescue 3 crew forced entry to the front door of the residence. Engine 91 arrived and completed the split lay and deployed a second a 200’ 1 3/4" crosslay as a backup line while Engine 132 laid out 1000’ of 5” supply line with Engine 33 picking it up. The crew from Engine 132 reported to the scene to assist with salvage and overhaul operations. Squad 6 performed RIT operations. The fire was placed under control at 20:51 hours.

Fire Chief 3 held the command; the fire is under investigation with the Maryland State Fire Marshall.

Thank you to Engine 72 for filling Company 3's quarters and running the 2 calls while units operated on the fireground.
