Rescue 3 arrived shortly after and quickly assisted finishing up the stabilization. Rescue 3 deployed it's two gas power hydraulic units and several rescue tools. The crews first cut the post on the drivers side and folded the roof down but that ended up interfering with the second patient. Crews went ahead and removed the roof completely. After the roof was removed the passenger was removed and handed over to awaiting ems followed by the driver.

From the arrival time of Rescue Engine 62 it took 20 minutes to remove both occupants. Rt. 5 was shut down for about 45 minutes and longer for tractor trailers due to low hanging telephone wires due to the pole being knocked down.
