Rescue Company At It Again

On Friday evening at 2119 hours Companies 3 & 6 were alerted for the MVA with entrapment in the 304 box on Great Mills Road.

Rescue 3 responded just after dispatch and shortly after Rescue Engine 62. Chief 3A arrived on the scene finding a single vehicle into a light pole with one occupant trapped. Rescue 3 arrived moments later as well as Safety 3. Chief 3A established the command and Sgt. Martin had rescue operations. Sgt Martin advised command the Rescue Engine 62 would not be needed and command placed them in service. The crew quickly stabilized the vehicle as the Rescue driver set up scene lighting as deployed a safety line. The crew quickly removed the the drivers door which allowed access to the occupant. Engine 32 arrived and its crew handled the safety line. The driver was removed and awaiting ems personnel took over. Rescue 3 restored their equipment and returned to service.

From the time the Rescue arrived it only took 10 minutes to free the occupant. Good work to all on scene.
