This is the progress report for SQ-3 during this week. As you can see the cab and body are moving along nicely. The Cab is finished being welded and painted, Line-X'd in the cab area as well. The body is still on the jig however the upper portion is welded with the sides and the walkway has been welded to the bottom. As you can see cutouts for the scene lighting on the top of the cab, windows, emergency lights and at the rear of the body two compartments for cordreels. The forward driver's side compartment has a small protruding box for the pump panel and idea passed to us from both Pierce and Mechanicsville in which we would like to thank both. This small pump panel will allow for use of minimal space, saving us some room for more needed items like equipment, lighting and air or electric reels. The large walk-in area should have a bench to the left or driver's side area for firefighter seating and SCBA storage. I believe next up should be the mounting of the cab to the chassis and initial wiring of electrical components.
