At 21:57 hours Stations 3, 9, 6, & 1 were alerted for the working house fire. Engines 31 & 91, Truck 3, & Chief 3 responded shortly after dispatch. Chief 3 (R. Wahrenbrock) requested an extra engine and squad for RIT and this brought Stations 13 & 7. Safety 3A (W. Johnson Sr.) arrived finding a single story home fully involved. Engine 31 arrived positioning on side D as Truck 3 arrived taking position on side A. Crews quickly worked to protect a nearby structure on side B and also attacking the fire. Once the water supply was established with Engine 91; Engine 31 was able to supply Truck 3 which used its master stream to knock down the bulk of the fire. SMECO arrived to secure the electrical wires going into the house and the Fire Marshall was requested. After the bulk was knocked down the structure was just the sub floor and a single wall. The crews continued applying water and class A foam to everything to insure no rekindles. All units were able to clear the scene by 00:28 hours.

The State Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
