Santa Claus Can't Be Far Behind

You know that Christmas can’t be far away when you see the vollies from Bay District putting up the Christmas tree for all the public to enjoy. It was cold and windy on Saturday but Bob Braddock had this day picked out to get it done and he was not going to let a little bad weather get in his way. Besides he knew it had to be up by our Winter Wonderland on November 30, 2013 when we had the annual tree lighting ceremony for all the community to participate in. So with his hardy few they first had to get all the stuff out of our storage building out back and that takes several trailers loads.
Once that is done Bobby has everything in order and each big tub is marked so it just kind of like a puzzle and you have to figure out the pieces. That’s when the fun begins cause you have one person saying one thing and another person with a different idea. No matter. We got it done then took a break for pizza for lunch. At least it wasn’t raining or snowing.
So you are all invited to come down on this Saturday the 30th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the lighting of the tree by jolly old St. Nick around 7:00 p.m. There will be games, prizes, food, fire truck rides, and a magic show. There will be plenty of fun things to do for everyone and you grown-ups can get in the Christmas spirit after all that Black Friday shopping with some good Christmas music and even a fire truck ride for you.
See you there and stop by and say “Hi” to me at the hot dog stand and while you are there you can purchase one of Joey “Z”s special hot dogs. Ummm They are so good.
